I have a Masters in Mathematics and a Graduate Diploma in Education from ECU, Perth. I have an extensive knowledge of Mathematics and a proven track record to successfully teach High School Mathematics courses from Years 7 to Year 12 in one of the top five public schools in WA for 6 years. Having taught WACE (Applications, Methods and Specialist) and all Year 7 to Year 10 streams in the classroom, I demonstrate skills to accommodate the needs of a diverse range of learners. I have fine-grained classroom pedagogies to address learners’ needs in one-on-one tutoring. My teaching approach and adapts to learners’ uniqueness, abilities and pace. Thus, empowering them to be independent learners. The goal is building mathematical confidence among learners and reducing the need of the tutor. Yes, you read it right!
In addition to personalised programs for tutoring that aligns with the curriculum demands at school, I provide regular practice tasks to reinforce the concepts. They are given mock tests and are supported for school assessments. Feedback is provided to the learners and parents/guardians consistently at regular interval.
There is no hustle and pressure for learners and their parents/guardians to coordinate trips to the tuition center as all sessions are in an online mode. I have taught at the Department of Education online school and at present I am teaching online at a renowned mathematical body in Perth. I am well-versed in providing interactive and seamless learning experience to all learners. They only need a device and their stationery.
Parents involvement in their wards’ learning and engagement plays a critical role. I welcome parents to sit through the lesson as and when they want. It foster a supportive learning environment. It also provides parents a window into the teaching methods, areas of concern and reinforcement of learning at home.
